I see someone has complained about the nurses being "F'ed" up - which is highly inappropriate. First off, working in Doctor's office myself, there are LOT'S of problems with technology to where it could cause a problem for a prescription to go through to the pharmacy. Now-a-days, with technology, EVERYTHING is done through the computers. That includes sending a prescription of the pharmacy. It isn't called over the phone anymore. So please, before you start blaming the nurses and calling them names, think about everything that is involved in the process and give the benefit of the doubt to the nurses. Maybe she did forget, but it is very UNLIKELY where she was sitting in front of the computer. It was most likely an error with the computer or MAYBE, just maybe, the pharmacy messed up and didn't see it OR their computers messed up. I loved this office. The Doctor's actually care as compared to a lot of the Doctors in Las Vegas that I have come across.
Walked out frustrated and angry. Saw the nurse practitioner Brittany. She'd make a great Mirena salesman, or a pharmaceutical rep. She dismissed several of my concerns, didn't believe that my elevated BP was due to nerves (offering a medication for "high blood pressure" - though I reiterated several times that my initial reading was significantly higher than usual - proven by a significant drop when the nurse came back in to take it again), and by the time the appointment was done she had mentioned 5 different prescriptions. All bandaids, and didn't seem to be concerned with figuring out what is going on. She seems to have a bias against plus-sized women, and only interested in quick bandaid fixes. I will not recommend her to anyone, and I will not be back.
I have been to SUWC on several occasions. I have never waiting for a lengthy amount of time. The staff and nurses have always been very kind. I see Pam Sorenson.....and I would recommend her to anyone. She's the best!I will take my own daughter to see Pam and no one else.
I will not be returning and I would suggest that you find some other office as well!!
Only place that accepts insurance that does ultrasounds. But the timing of service is the pits. If you have to go there, plan the whole day there and bring snacks. And plan on getting in the back of the line if you say you can wait. Never say "it's ok I can wait!"
This was the worst office that I have ever been to. I've lived in many states all over the country, and been to many different offices. This was the worst. I had an appointment set for over a month. It was first thing in the morning. I waited for TWO hours to actually see the Dr. (Dr. Benham) I waited for over an hour out in the waiting room as people came in and were seen before me, even though I was clearly scheduled before them and I was clearly there before them. I expressed my frustration to the front office staff after an hour of waiting and they told me that I could just reschedule...As if I wanted to wait again like that some other time. After I was taken back to the room, a medical assistant did my vitals and then I waited another half of an hour for the ultrasound room to open up. They then moved me to the ultrasound room, where I waited nearly another half of an hour to be seen by the Dr. I expressed my frustrations, to which he told me that he had "been out of town and things were crazy".
