Dr. Goodger has been my doctor for over ten years. He is wonderful. Over the years, I have hung my head and confessed when I took too many drugs (not narcotics) in an effort to alleviate my chronic pain. He accepted what I did, realized that I knew I had done the wrong thing, and then he went on to explain what I should do. At other times, my husband exploded in the exam room and talked of suicide; Dr. Goodger did the right thing and called an ambulance for my husband, and then helped to calm me down. He is compassionate while following the law, i.e.: I must see him periodically to renew certain prescriptions, even though I feel fine. I know I can talk to him and he will give me good sound advice, even if the problem isn't necessarily medical. Recently, he and I (mostly me) had to admit my husband to a Memory Care unit - a locked facility. I know I can depend on Dr. Goodger for advice and excellent medical care.
After waiting almost a hour with nobody else in waiting area with a sick baby, we were finally called back. The fee was $100 which I paid cash to the girl up front, or doctor wouldn't see baby. a few weeks later I got a bill in the mail for the same $100 I already paid! I called and explained it to the "billing dept" and she agreed that you cant even get back to see DR unless you pay 1st. she would look into it and get back to me. Now it has gone to collections and I am forced to pay the original $100 cash at INSTACARE but also a $140 to collection agency. Thank you Instacare on sunset blvd! Stealing from people that need help.
Thorough and kind are the words that immediately come to mind to describe Dr. Goodger. He's only been my doctor for 4 or 5 months, but in that time I've been in to see him quite a few times for treatment for a recent illness. Always helpful. Not the kind of doctor who wants to simply write a prescription and send you on your way.
I have seen more than my share of doctors in my life. I was hit by a car as a child and have had 'non-stop' issues. Most docs have been a disappointment. I can honestly say with all my conviction that Dr. Goodger is the best doctor I have worked with. Friendly, knowledgable and will provide you accuate treatment. He is not afraid to go the extra mile where many docs are becasue it takes too much time or they don't want to deal with insurance companies. Dr Goodger is so good Imgoing to fly my mother here to have him deal with some of her resolved health issues and I feel confident he will solve those mysteries ir he will do al he can to resolve it. He is the only 5 star doc Ive met so far. ~ The Stephens Family
