Anyone who says anything bad about this place is a stick in the mud. The cooks and staff are all extremely pleasant, they are all singing to music usually and its very welcoming! The food is absolutely delicious! Me and my husband love to treat ourselves to this place for date night. They have a rewards program also and you earn a free entree, drinks, sides and 50% off as well! Which is a very nice bonus for being their customer! They sure know how to make a customer feel appreciated. Can't say enough about Island Grinds, my whole family loves the pupu chicken and musubi!
The place was great. Small little diner. As you come in it says they have the best Pu Pu chicken. It was awesome. Also recommend getting the chicken katsu. Will go back when I'm in town.
The katsu chicken and kalua pork meats were nice, but the macaroni was so full of garlic powder it was inedible. Rice bland. If you're going to teach young people to cook, you also have to teach them to taste what they cook before they serve it.
As someone who lived in Hawaii, Island Grinds has the best food around. It reminds me of my home. Mahalo and much aloha Island Grind staff!
THE BEST Polynesian food in town. The staff is always extremely friendly and even remember us and what we usually order. The food is delicious - the pu pu chicken and the short ribs are the best. Love this place!
