Super friendly and personal with you and the animals. We have tried other ones around town and have heard them yelling at the animals and not treating them right. I recommend this place as well as their GROOMING service
I can’t say enough about The Animal Tender. They have been taking care of our pets since 1991 when they first opened. It’s hard to lose a pet and they have showed such care and love when our family has had to say goodbye to one of our furry family members. The clean and professional atmosphere along with the helpful and kind employees ensure that for as long we’re in the area they will be our #1 choice!
Love this place! Sandy does amazing with my schnauzers haircut. Also the girls up front are always so friendly and make sure I'm happy with how my Molli looks. They truly care about your pets!
The story of my terrible experience with this place begins several weeks ago when I left a message about boarding our dogs with them and never received a call back. I thought maybe it was just an oversight so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called again last week to try again. I was put on hold for 10 minutes before it went to voicemail. Not having a good experience leaving messages, I hung up and called again. It was a painful experience giving them my dogs information and getting information from them because the woman I spoke to didn't seem to have a good grasp on their computer system and put me on hold AGAIN to ask someone. We arrived the next day to do a temperament test and see how our dogs would do with others during playtime and were told, even though we were instructed to arrive between 11 and 3, that at 12:30 all their employees were at lunch and to come back at 1:30. We left and came back and were told we could tour the facility too but since they took our dogs in one at a time we weren't able to see it. The next day, we went to drop our dogs off at 4pm and the information on the dogs had been entered incorrectly and they never confirmed a price or whether or not they would be paying with other dogs the next day. We told them we would be back by 4 the following day. When we arrived to pick up the dogs today, they looked fine so I'm sure they were well taken care of, but then we were told that their stay, three dogs- 2 under 15 lbs and 1 over 50, was $190 for less than 24 hours as we arrived a few minutes early. No one mentioned that to us at any time (on the phone, at the temperament visit or when we dropped them off-ample opportunity to inform us of their prices and check out policies) so I was shocked that we were charged for 2 days even though they stayed less than 24 hours at their facility. Needless to say, we will not be going back. The prices, the disorganization, and the terrible customer service should keep anyone away.
Nice people, reasonable prices. Good place. Sometimes get my clean dog back significantly dirtier than when I drop him off. A little brush or towel off would be nice if they are going to have water (and related dirt) where the dogs play.
