My family loves this park. It's one of those places where the kids will play all day and have a complete meltdown when it's time to go. They have dinosaur-themed features, lots of accessible slides and swings, a huge pavilion inside a volcano, a small water feature that you can slash in, a train ride ($1 each), and a quieter side trail with some fun sensory things. The hours may not be the most convenient for everyone, but make an effort to get there.
This place is consistent favorite among the kids. Great location, great facilities, a fun little train and excellent water activities. Enough shade to get out of the heat, but close enough to everything to be a blast, and all at the city park level. Only thing requiring extra payment is the train, and that is worth the dollars spent.
The volcano is super cool, and every half hour or so will "erupt" with fog and sound effects. Listen for the T rex roar while you eat you lunch at one of the picnic tables inside! (Although it may be a little scary for the little ones.)
Spectacular park that truly caters to all ages and abilities! My kids absolutely LOVE it there (they range from infant to 6 yrs old, including one with autism) and we've been at least 30 times since it opened. There's tons to do, and I feel safe letting my kids run around because there is only one entrance/exit, so they stay pretty well contained.
The splash pad is awesome and really helps keep everybody cool in the summer. And what kid doesn't love the train? Plus it's only $1 to ride it, so parents don't have you worry about breaking the bank to keep the littles happy. ;)
I wholeheartedly recommend this park to everyone!
This is a great family park for all ages!! Our kids love coming here, and there are things for every age to do. There is a really cool fire volcano, rock climbing wall, tree house with slides, swings, small zip line with disabled chair, great landscaping and rock features. Most of the playground is soft foam floor. There is also a traim that goes around the park. All is free with no admission or cost. Saturdays are usually pretty busy, but it is really a big park, so you don't feel crowded. We come here often.
The grounds are very nicely and beautifully kept up, and I almost never see garbage laying around. The park maintenance people do an awesome job.
There are lots of places to sit and eat, both shaded and in the sun, and the bathrooms are easily accessible.
This park is incredible ... and FREE! We couldn't believe it when we found it on our family trip to St George and our kids had so much fun that they begged us to go back the next day. The train ride is the only thing that costs money currently ($1 each) but you could easily enjoy the entire park without spending anything at all. Kids will love it!
