I have a long term lease and love working with these guys even showed up after hours to get me a truck

We've had the BEST experience here! The owners have been nothing short of amazing too us! We had a terrible experience at the N 700 E location so we stopped in here & the owners gave us a great deal on two moving trucks! Never again will we go to the other budget!! This place hands down has thee BEST customer service!!

They are cheaper than U-haul but absolutely not worth it. I was supposed to get a truck and a tow dolly to tow my car on on Saturday morning. They only had the truck and had no idea where the dolly was. I called them several times that day and the girl I talked to was SO rude. She interrupted me through the entire conversation and would not let me speak. She said they don't guarantee anything. WHAT? A very important thing to a person who is moving is to be able to RELY on being ABLE to move! I was told they might have it the next day but there were no guarantees. Sunday came and went and I had no dolly. I was told Monday at 2pm I would get the dolly. Ha! No. So I called them over and over and could not get a hold of a single soul. Absolutely ridiculous. They messed up my whole move big time.

If I could put a zero star I would because of the way the manager treated me after the initial problem. I rented a car Saturday morning at 8:30am While I was there I saw that they were closed on Sunday so I asked the guy behind the counter how to return the car. I was told by the representative that they are closed on Sunday so I could bring it by on Sunday before 6:00pm and leave the keys but that the lot would be closed or bring it before 8:30am Monday morning. I had no use for the car on Sunday but for the ease of return I kept it until Monday morning like the gentleman said and had it back at budget at 8:15am Monday morning. The girl was nice, took my keys said everything looks great and your good to go. The next day I got a call from the STG Police department saying that Budget told them I rented a dodge charger from them and asked if I was at Chic Fil A. I told him I did rent a Dodge Charger but that I had returned it Monday morning. The officer could tell I was alarmed by the call so he said, it's ok we are just trying to track down who has this car and you are ok it isn't a wreck or anything that would affect your insurance so don't worry about it.Obviously I was very worried because I couldn't figure out why in heck Budget would be giving the PD my info when I had nothing to to with the car I finally decided to look at my credit card bill to make sure they had closed the rental and properly charge me. To add to my confusion they did close out the account so I know the return was fine but they billed me way more than they were suppose to. I kept calling both the location here in STG and the SLC office. I finally got ahold of someone in SLC and they said they understood the confusion on me being billed wrong and would correct it if they could but STG is a franchise and they do their own billing so I need to call them. I finally got ahold of the guy working the counter here in STG. His name was Dave (I believe the same guy who helped me Saturday) he was very nice and when I explained to him that I was Billed wrong he looked it up and said yeah you were billed for an extra day because you didn't bring it back until Monday morning. When I told him what I was told Saturday morning about just making sure it was back Monday morning before 8:30 because they were closed on Sunday and I was there at exactly 8:15 Monday morning with the return he said that makes sense. I can't fix it but my manager Shelly can. He gave me her number and I called her. I was shocked to talk to her and be treated so poorly. I have never been treated so rude by any customer service rep, especially not a manager. She wouldn't listen at all and just kept saying "you rented it on Saturday and returned it on Monday so I'm charging you for two days." She also said that I had to have it back there by 8:30 Sunday morning but then I said that not only did the representative tell me Saturday morning that I could have it there Monday morning as long as it was there by 8:30am he also said if I did want to bring it by on Sunday I could but the lot might be closed and for sure would by 6:00pm. Shelly then replied "well, that's true I guess technically u could have had it there by 6:00pm but that's it, not Monday." How would I have ever known that had he not told me? Obviously I listened very well to the rep Saturday morning and knew exactly the instructions he have me and followed them to a T. I even remember when I asked what to do about Sunday because they are closed he liked over his shoulder saw that it was 8:30 and said 8:30 Monday morning etc. Shelly continued for the next 10 mins to say it doesn't matter and that she wouldn't budge. Every time I would try to speak she would cut me off and say again, it doesn't matter you had the car for two days I'm charging you for two days. In summary they are disorganized, give misinformation, and they don't honor what they tell a customer. Worst of all their manager is leading the charge of not caring about what reps tell customers and then treating the customer poorly for it.

If you are moving, especially out of state one way, check Budget's prices. If you are anywhere near St. George, get it from the brothers here at Hilltop Truck Rental. What was a stressful day was made much better by dealing with these guys at the very end of my move....friendly as can be, and super helpful to us clueless travelers. Thanks guys....
