I really like that Five Guys doesn't charge for extra toppings. This burger has all their offered toppings and sauces and it was delicious. Also, their large fries were fresh with plenty of salt. One large fry was plenty for two. The wait was a little long considering that there weren't many people in the restaurant, but the free peanuts to snack on make the time pass quickly.
There were more than 5 guys working last night. Wondering if it's a case of false advertising. :)
Had to compare them against In and Out Burger. Have to say the plus is on this side for five guys are the fact that you get to pick your toppings and that they also have the choice of grilled mushrooms or grilled onions as a topping. And just like I & O they have fresh made french fries which were just as good.
So I ordered online hoping it would be a quick in and out transaction. I got there when the order was supposed to be ready. And they said they would let me know when it was done. About 30 minutes later and me having to ask them what was going on, they tell me my order was forgotten about and would be done shortly. (45+ minutes overall) I get my food to bring home to wife and kids and try a fry and it's lukewarm. (Ugh) The burger was tasty even though the bun was soggy from being submerged in water (or whatever they did to make it soaked) my kids compared it to any fast food burger they've had before. My advice take your money else where, $40 for 4 burgers and 2 small fry is a bit overboard.
Love the peanuts. Good burgers (although our burgers yesterday were wayyyy overcooked, and dry as sand). Prices have been increasing over the past few years, and it's becoming cost prohibitive to feed a family here. I've noticed that the quantity of french fries has been significantly shrinking as well.
I love Five Guys and review them often. I liked the food here as usual, but the service is pretty slow and the place wasn't busy during our visit. Cajun fries rock, as usual.
