Bad experience, I've known these guys personally, but never bought from them due to the bad reputation they've had. Knowing I needed a cheap car for my teen, I went against my better judgement to see what they had. We found a car we liked and asked if we could take it to have it by a mechanic. An hour later they said they'd sold the car to someone else for $700 more and they were paying for it the next day. Car off the lot so we couldn't have it looked at. Drove by today. It's still there.
I am one of the fortunate ones who went with my intuitions and did not buy from these guys. I test drove a few of there cars and they simply weren't reliable or road worthy. The first car I drove had the check engine light on (really guys? this is how you will try to sell your vehicles) So I had it tested. it was throwing 4 different codes all saying it was having problems with the catalytic converter. When I got back and told them about the check engine light, they told me it was most likely a loose gas cap. Now I am sure that they have some great cars on the lot as well, especially some of the newer ones. But that is not because they went through them and fixed any problems to make them as best as they could. So my advice is simply this, do your homework. All these negative reviews are on here for a reason. You are rolling the dice by purchasing any vehicle from this business, but if you do take it to your mechanic first and have them check out every detail before you offer them anything.
I love buying my cars from Munoz auto sales they are honest and very helpful. I have got 4 cars from them. When I was 16 my parents got me a Toyota Corolla. When I graduated I got a Toyota Yaris from them. After a few years I decided I needed a Change and got a Volkswagen Jetta. That Jetta was great then I went to serve a mission so I had to sell it. When I got back from my mission I bought a Honda Civic. Through all this Munoz auto sales has been great with all my purchases. They have been here for many years with the same name that's how I know they have to be doing something right.
