"Ace is the Place" if you are looking for that hard-to-find hardware item. Hope they open another store in Washington Fields (hint, hint, wink, wink)!
Nice store, and they live up to their moto - very helpful. I do wish they did daily popcorn like the Ace in Hurricane though.
This is the place if you need hard to find hardware items. Hurst has tons of individual nuts, bolts, springs, cotter pins, and many other fasteners the other guys don't have.
More than just a hardware store. Had to stop in to buy some emergency duct tape, and ended up walking out with my wife holding some new dresses. That's right, they had dresses, and my wife loved them. Kind of a hodge-podge of everything, but that is what likely makes this place great and an advantage over your standard box hardware store.
Should go to Hurst first, they have every thing you can't find in the big box stores and most importantly, knowledgeable staff who don't up-sell when less expensive will do. One of those places you just want to go to browse.
