Took great care of my dog. Called me with updates, let me come in and visit, and even texted me a picture of him while he was in their care.
We disagree with the negativity shown below. We took our feline in this morning and had the very BEST care! Dr. Bowler was knowledgeable, gentle, caring, and, most of all, practical! We loved that he took the time to assess the situation and provide appropriate remediation until we could get in to see our regular vet. He offered two types of medication application so we could determine which one would better fit our needs. He was thorough and provided explanation during the appointment. The staff was kind and caring as well. I would go there again! Dr. Bowler was the best! We also appreciated the follow up phone call which came four days after our visit.
This was our first visit to Southwest Emergency and we now feel much more secure knowing it’s there if needed again in the future.
Won't see any pets besides dogs and cats even if they clearly are in need of help and my bird lost a leg because all of the vets in st george and surrounding care more about weekends off than animals. They need to hire someone who can see exotics, animals shouldn't suffer because they aren't dogs or cats. Had to take my cat there as well. Paid 84 for to be seen and was charged 37 dollars to look at his ruptured abscess, 37 dollars to wipe it clean, and 56 for a shot of antibiotics. You'd assume that shaving and wiping it down would be included in the 84 dollars to be seen as that is what we were being seen for. 3 stars because at least in my experience with my cat the staff was friendly.
We brought our small puppy in after a few days of nonstop vomiting and diarrhea. Staff very approachable and responsive. Facility clean. The veterinarian we saw, Dr Lenahen, was knowledgeable, caring, and gentle.
I would give them no stars if I could. Our 14 week old puppy broke her arm and we waited 3 HOURS in their exam room and NOBODY came to help us. After 3 hours I went to find someone to see what was going on and not one staff member was to be found. When someone did decide to actually come to the front desk they talked down to me and acted like my screaming puppy wasn’t important enough to help. They stated the next closest emergency vet was in Vegas and to have fun driving there and had zero condieration or apologies. There were 5 other people in the waiting room that had been waiting there for God knows how long. My advice is to take your pet ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.
