I've been going to Sue's pet castle for years.. Clay and the rest of the guys are friendly and very very helpful .. The best pet store I've ever been to....
This is a very good pet store. i come here weekly to buy a live mouse for my ball python. they have good inventory, clean area and are always stocked. All the employees are very kind, every now and then they can be a little rude but we all have our off days.
I guess it's pointless leaving a less than 5-star review without pointing out the issues and leaving some constructive criticism. The place seems clean, fantastic selection of items and had no issues with the staff. I see why people may be intimidated by certain members, but they were all 100% cool to me and I will be going back there for supplies. The only reason I left 3 stars is because the substrate in some of the pet cages was less than ideal and there seems to be no humidity or temperature gauges in the bearded dragon or other reptile enclosures, plus a few lights were out in the middle of the day which suggests their UV-B or heat was not where it should have been. Also spotted a chameleon in glass enclosure when they should really be in a meshed enclosure as they require lots of airflow, like in their natural habitat. This knocked 2 stars off because it's really important to myself, and many others, that the people responsible for the reptiles and animals are making sure the conditions are good-perfect. If the substrate was changed, along with humidity and temp gauges and a few tweaks here and there, it would be a 5-star place (based on my first visit).
This place is the F $@%#king worst. We got a puppy from there. It had worms. Which caused health issues so 300 dollars later we get her taken care of. Come to find out they lied about the breed and where we are renting doesn't allow big dogs which what we thought would be a 35 pound full grown dog ends up being a 100 pound dog. Had to get rid of her to not get kicked out. Not the first story from them either everyone I asked later said their pet died from there because they don't take care of them. I hope their business gets it together. Also I see you're probably going to respond clay so how about no excuses because obviously other pet shops are working better. Doubt it'll happen too but I'll delete my review if I could get a refund.
I've been in this store regularly getting pet supplies and letting my Little girl look at the different animals. The staff are always cleaning and it shows. Joe, though always busy stops to help me every time I come here and I recently met the owner helping the staff take care of the animals while I was there. Clay was real helpful and knowledgeable! Don't take my word go on down and let them help ya. Just be patient cause it's a full time job cleaning up after all those beautiful critters!!
