I enjoyed this tour. Representative of simpler times, the home is in great condition. Even sampled a fresh pecan off of the pecan tree.
Not LDS, but it is really cool to visit anyways! Lots of history and its amazing to walk through his home as if you just stepped back in time. Really recommend if you are passing through and want to know more of the history and love history. The tour guides we're very nice. Parking is kind of a pain, but that's my only complaint.
You can learn some really interesting history when visiting. My father and I visited, and although we are not of this religion it was worth the effort of visiting. In the house I found that the wooden fireplaces painted to look like marble we're remarkable. Also, the plates that contained a reservoir for hot water to keep the food warm as well as the beds having a mobile rod at the footboard, around which one could wind the bed cover we're both brilliant! The greenery, gardens and trees were also lovely.
Really interesting! Fun free tours that teach about the history of Saint George and the history of the house. Worth the visit.
Neat house and artifacts. Tour was great. The guides tell the story of the home and the people who lived there, and were able to answer every question we asked.
