Duane was our rock as we went through the process of our mother's cremation. He guided us through the entire procedure, answered all our questions and made sure all our needs were taken care of. During one of the most difficult times of our lives, we took comfort in knowing that our mother's cremation would be done by people who would respect and care for her like family. They even planted a tree in her honor in Dixie National Forest. Thank you, Duane, for everything.
I can't say enough about Russ and the whole crew at serenity. My daughter passed away in June 2015 in a car accident. I had originally had her taken to another funeral home and the first time I met with them it was horrible I came away upset that I was having to leave my daughter there. I felt like all they cared about was the money. We didn't pick top of the line anything and it was going to be $11,000 and that was without flowers. They told me that if they didn't have all the money by the day before her funeral they would not do it. Being a single mother of 6 there was no way I could come up with that all at once. That night a neighbor came over and told me about Russ and Serenity. He called him that night and I spoke with him the first thing he said was he was sorry for my loss (something I hadn't heard from the last place) he said he would arrange to get my daughter from the other place and I could meet him at their place the next morning. WOW!! The difference was like night and day. The feeling was totally different. You could tell that they really cared. I was so thankful for them. My daughter had a lot of head trauma and I was afraid that I was going to have to have a closed casket but Russ said to let him see what he could do. He does amazing work. He made her look almost as beautiful as she was in life!! He is so gifted! I knew that my daughter was more than money to them. The total cost for her funeral was around $6,000 and that included flowers and a whole lot more.
I hope that you don't have to find a funeral home but if you do I highly recommend Serenity Funeral home of southern Utah! They are truly THE BEST in southern Utah!
