2. Told me that my bike rack which was already replaced by red rock before (this was the replacement rack) could not be warrantied without the original receipt although the first one was warrantied by red rock without the original receipt.
The last time I was in town and just needing a new inner tube for my mountain bike, the guy in the shop must have spent 40 minutes talking to me about bikes, local trails and showing me around the store. And this was despite him knowing that all I was going to buy was a stupid inner tube.
These guys are awesome. I'm always hesitant to use any bike shop other than Contender in Salt Lake City, but given some logistical issues I had to take my St. George bikes in to Red Rock. Josh was at the counter, and I could tell he knew what he was doing as soon as I walked in the door. They tuned two of my bikes quickly, at a fair price, and did a great job. Both bikes feel brand new, and I'll definitely be bringing bikes back to Red Rock for service in the future. Thanks guys!
Customer service is about trying your best to a accommodate, not having a NO attitude. Most other guys here are pretty cool and helpful but Josh runs the service department so that doesn't really matter too much since he makes the calls. Hope to find a more customer friendly shop and happy to pay the 20% markup if I can find one. Otherwise, online retailers will get my business.
Josh makes me want to buy gear online. The only benefit small independent retailers have is customer service and his is pretty terrible.
If I remember right, it's mostly a Specialized and Santa Cruz shop. The next time I'm in the market for a new bike, I just might head to St. George to get one — even if it means giving up my long-held allegiance to Cannondale. :)
Called Yakima direct and they warrantied their rack. 3. Went in to ask if a SD pedal that broke was warrantied and he said no before even asking me any questions or examining the pedal. It was out of warranty but he told me no before gathering any info.
Amazing Service! I found the service department at this location to be a shining example of good customer service and expert advice. I had two other bikes being repaired at a different shop during the same period of my visit and the difference in the quality of work and the service was like night and day.
1. Told me I needed to replace a front wheel that would cost minimum$500. Another mechanic fixed the wheel for $30. 1000 miles later I have the same wheel.
I really like Red Rock, but I always feel like I'm being chased around like at a car dealership or a furniture store. It's hard to go in and just browse. Other than that, great selection and lots of accessories. Convenient location, although it can be hard to get in and out of depending on the time of day.
I like this place!
They have a good-sized selection of bikes and biking gear. The staff, whenever I've been there, is awesomely great. The service department is superb. And the general attitude is friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. This is especially impressive despite (or maybe because of) being in relatively small St. George and not a big city.
